Treasury yields are mostly higher even as Trump ‘demands’ lower interest rates

Treasury yields mostly went up, but the 2-year yield fell after Trump said he wants lower interest rates.
Trump spoke at the World Economic Forum and said he will push for lower rates.
The Federal Reserve is supposed to make decisions without political pressure.
Longer-term yields, like 10-year and 30-year, stayed high after Trump talked about using tariffs to bring more manufacturing to the U.S.
He also criticized the European Union’s tax system.
